LEADING LADIES by Ken Ludwig Oct. 29 – Nov. 20, 2010, directed by Barbara L. Rhoades, Marianne Paul, producer. Two down-on-their-luck actors re-direct their talents to fortune-seeking when they learn that an ailing multi-millionaire matron is searching for long-lost nephews she hasn’t seen since birth. Undaunted even when the thespian posers discover that “Max” and “Steve” are short for Maxine and Stephanie, they don dresses and proceed to woo the widow as trouble, comedy and romance ensue. Communicating Doors by Alan Ayckbourn Jan. 28 – Feb. 19, 2011. One of Ayckbourn’s most optimistic plays, this comedy-thriller is set in a posh London hotel suite where the interior door enables entry not between rooms but between decades (and crime scenes) from 1974 to 2014 where time travelers try to alter the course of events using the advantage of hindsight.

The universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz, this musical/satire based on real scandals and scofflaws in Prohibition-era Chicago features music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and book by Ebb and Bob Fosse. Winner of six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, one Grammy and thousands of standing ovations.
ACT, celebrating 51 successful seasons in 2010-2011, presents three regular season shows, a summer stock production and two children’s summer workshops, reaching an annual audience of over 6,000.
