David A. Robertson is a Partner with Cedar Brook Group. In this role, Mr. Robertson provides strategic financial planning advice to affluent individuals and families. Mr. Robertson focuses on providing clients with unbiased, objective advice in order to help them clarify their goals and objectives and simplify their financial lives. This often includes designing a plan that encompasses financial independence planning, investment strategies, estate planning, tax strategies, and asset protection in an integrated way. He is a Registered Representative with Caderet Grant and an Investment Advisors Representative with Cedar Brook Group.
Prior to joining Cedar Brook Group, Mr. Robertson served high-net-worth clients at other wealth management firms, where he was responsible for providing family office services and managing both public and private investment strategies, including hedge funds and private equity funds.
Mr. Robertson received his undergraduate degree in economics, with honors, from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY (BA, 1983) and law degree from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Law in Cleveland, OH (JD, 1986), where he served as an editor of the law review. He earned a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification in 1994.
Active outside of Cedar Brook, Mr. Robertson is a member of the Financial Services Institute, the American Bar Association, the Financial Planning Association, as well as a director of the Waite Hill Village Foundation. He and his wife, Jean, are residents of Waite Hill, Ohio and have two children – Ian and Charlotte.
