David A. Robertson is a Partner with Cedar Brook Financial Partners. In this role, Mr. Robertson provides strategic financial planning advice to affluent individuals and families. Mr. Robertson focuses on providing clients with unbiased, objective advice in order to help them clarify their goals and objectives and simplify their financial lives. This often includes building a plan that takes into consideration investments, estate planning, tax strategies, wealth protection, and preservation. He is a Registered Representative with Securities America Inc. and an Investment Advisors Representative with Securities America Advisors.
Prior to joining Cedar Brook Financial Partners, Mr. Robertson served clients at other wealth management firms, where he was responsible for providing family office services and managing both public and private investment strategies, including hedge funds and private equity funds.
Mr. Robertson received his undergraduate degree in economics, with honors, from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY (BA, 1983) and law degree from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Law in Cleveland, OH (JD, 1986), where he served as an editor of the law review. He earned a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification in 1994.
Active outside of Cedar Brook, Mr. Robertson is a member of the Financial Services Institute, the American Bar Association, and the Financial Planning Association. He and his wife, Jean, are residents of Shaker Heights, Ohio and have two children – Ian and Charlotte.
